“It’s been a wonderful community activity that I hope will inspire and motivate everyone who comes to see the exhibition.

“We’re having a public vote on which postcard is most popular and everyone will get the chance to keep their own piece of history later via our silent auction.”

The exhibition is being opened by Eastbourne’s mayor, Cllr Gill Mattock, who has contributed her own postcard.

Cllr Mattock is using her year as Mayor of Eastbourne to concentrate on women as their achievements, naming it the Year of the Woman. WayfinderWoman is one of Cllr Mattock’s charities of the year.
