STUDENTS, staff, parents and even some dogs turned out for St Andrew’s annual sponsored walk.

The sun blazed as participants put their best foot forward to tackle a short, medium or long walk.

Eastbourne mayor Councillor Mike Thompson set everyone off.

This year, the sponsorship monies raised will be split between two charities: Canine Partners, a charity that provides assistance dogs for people with disabilities and The Rotary Club of Alleppey in India that provides sewing machines for widows.

A school spokesperson said, “Thank you to all the volunteers from the Rotary Club of Eastbourne who once again gave their time to guide and marshal the walk and also to John Boyle and his musical car, Melody, who gave the crowd some rousing tunes to start the walk.”
