SOVEREIGN Harbour’s £1.6 million medical centre is well on its way.

Project co-ordinator Peter Waugh has said a fifth of the work has been completed, although the building in Pacific Way is only just coming out of the ground.

Steel-reinforced ground beams have been put in place and pre-made floor slabs will be put into position using a crane.

The area of land was bought from developers Carillion by Harbour Medical Practice GPs Dr Idango Adoki and Dr Ibelema Cookey and builders started clearing rubble from the site on January 17.
