Political campaigners are gearing up for the elections to East Sussex County Council on Thursday,May 2.
Voters will go to the polls to elect representatives to sit at County Hall in Lewes. Their responsibilities include highways, education, library services and social services

The last county council elections held in June 2009 and the Conservatives maintained control of the authority.
A total of 49 councillors elected – 29 were Conservative, four Labour, 13 Liberal Democrats and three Independent.
A number of prominent Eastbourne county councillors are stepping down this year including Liberal Democrat stalwarts Beryl Healy in Devonshire, Mike Thompson in Hampden Park, Jon Harris in Langney and Carolyn Heaps in Old Town. The remaining Eastbourne councillors are hoping to retain their seats.
On Thursday, May 2 polling stations across the county will be open from 7am-10pm.
The count will be held at local council headquarters and results revealed on Friday.
