Original artworks by David Dimbleby, Graham Norton, Ronnie Corbett, Andrew Marr, Tom Conti, Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Chris Difford of Squeeze are up for grabs in the Big Art Secret charity auction and could still be sold for as little as 99p each.

The Big Art Secret, an exhibition and eBay auction of postcard-sized artwork in aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice and Towner Charitable Trust, is well underway and many of the celebrity contributions remain unspotted.

All you have to do is go to the hospice or Towner websites and follow the link to the Big Art Secret online auction or go to and place your bids to help two great local charities.

The auction also includes submissions from other celebrities, artists, St Wilfrid’s staff and patients, and people in the local community who have donated postcard-sized works. The artist behind each piece will not be revealed until bidding closes on Sunday evening (March 23).

There is also an intriguing twist to the Big Art Secret, as one piece, contributed by an internationally famous artist, has been barred by eBay as it contravenes its profanity policy.

Although the artwork cannot be shown and remains a secret, you can still bid for the piece on eBay, although you will not know who the artist is or what the art looks like.

All the artworks, including those mentioned above, are available to buy on eBay at and the auction closes on Sunday evening.

The profits from the auction will be split, with 80 per cent going to St Wilfrid’s Hospice and 20 per cent to Towner Charitable Trust.
