A lifesize dinosaur will be in Eastbourne town centre today (Friday) as part of a tour to promote a new forest attraction at a Kent zoo.

The Dino Tour originated at the Port Lympne Dinosaur Forest in Kent and is now travelling the UK to promote the new forest.

The tour is happening throughout half-term week and aims to entertain children and adults alike who spot the dinosaur on its tour.

The team at Port Lympne have set up a social media campaign for people who spot the #dinotour and share their images on social media.

More than 100 lifesize dinosaurs have taken up residence at the zoo’s new Dinosaur Forest.

Favourites including the T-Rex, Diplodocus and Pterodactyl have stampeded into the park to form part of the attraction, one of the largest collections of life-size dinosaurs in Europe with each model being truly authentic and anatomically correct.

Visitors are offered the chance to journey back in time and hear the story of the animal kingdom as it was millions of years ago.
