The well-established festival set on Eastbourne’s coast at the Western Lawns, typically draws in more than 500 motors from cars to camper vans, motorbikes to military vehicles and a whole host more, attracts thousands of visitors, local and national, and this year coincides with a new four day Vintage Market along Eastbourne’s Victorian promenade.

Motor enthusiasts and vintage seeking visitors venture to Eastbourne to see anything which gives a nostalgic nod to times gone by, from Bugatti’s to Bentley’s and Cadillacs to Ferrari’s, all proud classic car owners are encouraged to exhibit at the ever-popular event.

Eastbourne Borough Council lead cabinet member for culture, tourism and enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister said “Magnificent Motors jump-starts Eastbourne’s packed events season and is a real favourite with the thousands of visitors who flock to the seaside resort for a little slice of nostalgia every May Bank Holiday weekend.

“It’s a high-octane event and I really urge classic motor and vintage bicycle owners to exhibit at the festival; all participants have the opportunity to take pride and joy in their motors in a seafront cavalcade from east to west to kick-start the festival each day.”

After the cavalcade the Western Lawns opens its gates to exhibitors and festival goers from 11am to 6pm on April 30 and 11am to 5pm on May 1. With on-site caterers, bars, live music entertainment and fairgrounds rides throughout the two-day festival.

There is a new attraction this year, as a four-day vintage market will set up shop along the seafront.
