Burglars make off with £5,000 of tools from Eastbourne business

Police are appealing for witnesses after £5,000 worth of tools and equipment were stolen from a commercial building in Eastbourne.

It is believed the premises in Beachy Head Road were broken into some time between 4.30pm on Tuesday, July 5 and 7am on Wednesday, July 6.

A number of items including winches, power breakers and a grinder were taken.

PC James Gardner said, “We believe a vehicle must have been used to transport some of the heavy tools and would urge anyone who saw something suspicious in the area to get in touch.

“Witnesses can email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 265 of 06/07.”
