Building society raises funds for Marie Curie by selling daffodils

The Eastbourne branch of the Yorkshire Building Society is joining others around the country to '˜get behind the daffodil' this March, by encouraging people to give a donation and wear a daffodil pin, in support of Marie Curie's Great Daffodil Appeal.

Every £20 raised during Yorkshire Building Society’s Hour of Need campaign will help fund one hour of Marie Curie nursing care. The society is aiming to raise £1million by December 2016, which equates to funding two hours of care by a Marie Curie Nurse for every hour of the campaign.

Thanks to the support of the local community, the branch on Terminus Road, has raised £583 since the start of the campaign in 2014 – which equates to more than 29 hours of care.
