Young students will be taking part in the 20th Annual Young Engineers Challenge on Friday.
Eighteen teams of four Year 6 and Year 7 pupils from Eastbourne schools will participate in the annual challenge event at Bede’s School.
The challenge is organised by Eastbourne Education Business Partnership on behalf of the Eastbourne Engineering Club.
The winners will receive the Young Engineers Challenge Trophy, currently held by St John’s Meads CE Primary School.
“This is our 20th challenge year and we are looking forward to another very exciting day,” said Tim Sorensen from EBP. “This event is always great fun and puts some real engineering lessons in context for the pupils. It also encourages teamwork and helps them to develop their practical skills.”
