“No one has been hurt and three class rooms have been affected.

“Broomham Hall (main house) has not been affected and there will be school as usual on Monday with provision being made for the three affected class rooms, so there will be no interruption to any scholars’ education.

“We would like to thank the fire service for their rapid response to the incident and everyone who has sent messages of good will.”

Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 6.30pm.
