An Eastbourne artist has joined a flock of celebrities and designers who have decorated sculptures of classic Aardman character, Shaun the Sheep, for a ewe-nique charity sculpture trail.
Brittany Molineux has designed a sculpture called Flora for Shaun in the City, a flock of 70 five-foot sculptures of Shaun the Sheep on display all over Bristol. Brittany, 23, is originally from Eastbourne, but has lived in Bristol since graduating with a degree in Illustration from the University of the West of England. She now works as a freelance illustrator. Her design sees Shaun covered in an array of plants and flowers, and took her almost 50 hours to complete. Brittany said of her design, “The design originated when I was sat in the back of a car in a queue down a country lane in Dorset. I was looking at the hedgerow and noticed how many beautiful different plants there were! Since then I can’t stop looking at hedges that line streets, roads and fields, to see what unexpected plants are growing there.”
