A star from last week’s Britain’s Got Talent on ITV will appear on stage in Eastbourne next weekend.
Fergus Anckorn, 97, appeared alongside BGT winner Richard Jones in Friday’s final.
He will appear at the Day by the Sea show at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre, Eastbourne, on Saturday June 4.
Mr Anckorn was the inspiration for Richard Jones’ magic act on the reality talent show.
He is the oldest member of the Magic Circle and a former Prisoner of War.
Jones, a serving soldier with the Household Cavalry who appeared in uniform, told the story of Mr Anckorn, a prisoner of war in Japan for almost four years during the Second World War, as he performed the illusion.
The contestant said Anckorn performed magic tricks – including the one Jones had chosen for the final – for the guards as a way of getting food. As he reached the climax of his performance, Jones unveiled his surprise guest – Mr Anckorn.
The British Music Hall Society has organised the show at the Hippodrome which starts at 10am and goes on until 8pm.
Among the stars attending will be Roy Hudd and former Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steve Hewlett.
Tickets are available on Eastbourne 726756.
