AN Eastbourne-based decoratoring merchant has been awarded a prestigious royal warrant for supplying decorating materials to The Queen.

Brewers has supplied the royal households, including Buckingham Palace, for some decades and it is now by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen.

It was awarded a royal warrant after demonstrating the highest standards in both operational ability and in its ethical approach to business.

The company says providing exceptional service to customers has always been important and this recognition from the royal household is a great accolade.

Simon Brewer said, “We are extremely proud of this appointment as it is a real and very public commendation of our relentless focus on customer service.

“It is a reflection of the capability and customer focused nature of everyone who works for Brewers.

“There are only a few hundred companies in the world who carry the royal warrant and we are extremely honoured to be one of these select companies.”

After 107 years in business, Brewers is still a family run company.

It has 130 branches across the UK and 60 per cent of the 950 staff have worked for the company for six years or more. Of those, 170 have worked for the company for more than 20 years.

Brewers has its own practical training centre in Eastbourne where staff come on residential training courses to use products so they can advise customers.

Mr Brewer added, “Whether supplying materials for Buckingham Palace, a building site, a hospital refurbishment or a private home, the Brewers family is committed to providing the right product for the job in hand with a friendly smile - just ask the Queen!”
