Breaking: Woman in Eastbourne netball tragedy named

A 44-year-old woman who died while watching a netball match at Hampden Park Sports Centre has been named today (January 29).

Jane Elizabeth Carter from Seaford collapsed on Thursday, January 21 while at the sports centre on Brodrick Road.

Emergency services and air ambulance attended but were unable to save her.

Police say there were no suspicious circumstances but the cause of her death is still being investigated.

The coroner for East Sussex has been informed.
