A 51-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and arson following the fire in a nail bar in Hailsham on March 4.

Duc Bac Vuong, of High Street, Hailsham, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one of arson with intent to endanger life following the blaze at Hollywood Nails.

The shop manager was left with life-threatening injuries after the fire, which also seriously injured a 21-year-old woman and a five month old baby. The woman and baby were later released from hospital after recovering.

Duc Bac Vuong will appear before Brighton magistrates on Thursday (July 9).
