Boy airlifted to hospital after collision in Eastbourne

A boy has been airlifted to hospital this morning following a collision in Eastbourne.

Sussex Police said officers responded to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist in Royal Parade, near Fun Fort adventure park, at around 8.40am.

A spokesman added: “The cyclist, a boy, has been airlifted to hospital.

“The road was closed temporarily to allow emergency services to respond to the incident, but has since reopened.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 274 of 09/05.

South East Coast Ambulance Service has been approached for a response.
