A man’s body was recovered from Beachy Head after a coastguard search last night (Monday, April 11).
Police say that the body of a 29-year-old man was recovered from the base of cliffs at around 8pm.
A search by police and the coastguard helicopter was launched around two hours earlier after members of the public raised concerns for a man’s welfare.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s officer is continuing with enquiries.
The man is not believed to be from Sussex.
