Police have revealed the body of a 60-year-old man was recovered from the foot of cliffs at Beachy Head at the weekend.
Officers were called to a reports of a body on the beach near the lighthouse at Beachy Head at 5.35pm on Sunday (July 17).
The body of a 60-year-old man was recovered by the Eastbourne inshore lifeboat and taken to the lifeboat station.
A spokesperson at Sussex Police said, “The death of the man who was from Devon is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s officer is dealing with the matter.”
