Boat and trailer stolen from Polegate

Police are appealing for information about the theft of a 16ft ‘Mariner’ boat and trailer from premises in Polegate.

The theft took place at a site just off the A22 at Polegate, near to the Cophall roundabout, at some time between 6pm on Saturday (August 15) and 5.30am the following day.

The boat has a small, two-berth cabin with two lights on top of it, together with a fish finder and a radio.

Since the photograph was taken, the name ‘Wilson Flyer’ had been painted on both sides of the bow and a Yamaha 40 engine had been attached to the stern.

PCSO Liz McDonagh said: “Anyone with information is asked to email or call 101, quoting serial 1147 of 16/08.”

Alternatively, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
