Staff and students at Bishop Bell CE School swapped their usual uniform for Christmas attire to raise money for charity.

Everybody paid £1 for the privilege and the money is being donated to Hailsham-based Christian charity, The Quicken Trust, which helps transform the lives of people living in poverty in the Ugandan village of Kabubbu.

The school is still counting the pound coins, but they expect to have collected around £750. The staff are pictured, above, in their festive attire.
