The festival runs from August 24 to 27 and visitors can attend for a day on camp for the whole weekend.

Organisers promise visitors will be surrounded by the sights, smells and excitement of medieval times.

Realistic historical battles, jousting, performers, horses, archery, music, traditional crafts, eating, drinking, shopping and day-to-day life of the past.

Herstmonceux Castle is a fairy tale setting for a totally different family weekend.

Youngsters will enjoy the Kids’ Kingdom, where wizards, jesters, knights, dragons and princesses await with traditional games and fascinating tales.

Hundreds of traditional craftsmen, traders and workshops will set up for the weekend.
