ASDA employee Bev Manze, who works on the chilled counter, held a sponsored silence to raise funds for four-year-old Lily Spears, who has cerebral palsy.

Many Asda colleagues kindly sponsored Bev to stay quiet all day at work and more than £550 was collected, which went towards buying an iPad for Lily, so she can communicate with people. Pictured at the presentation are Bev Manze, Ann Parsons, who helped to collect the money, and Lily with all her family, the three generations that work for Asda Eastbourne, and, in the foreground, Darren Evans, Asda Eastbourne general store manager, handing Lily`s brother, Kye, a small gift as well.
