A new dedicated benefits helpline has launched in East Sussex to provide information and advice on welfare reform changes to people who might be affected.
East Sussex County Council will give up-to-date and clear information and advice in what can sometimes seem a complex area.
If people are concerned or want more information they should call: Helpline - 0800 977 4265.
This is a Freephone number (from a landline) and will available Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
Simon Hughes, assistant chief executive, said, “It is important that people in East Sussex understand what impact the welfare reform changes may have on them, if they are of working age. The telephone advice line will make it easier for residents to get information, ask questions and ensure they plan ahead.”
