Police are appealing for witnesses to last night’s crash in Eastbourne which claimed two lives.
The accident happened at 9.30pm in King Edwards Parade when a vehicle smashed in to three stationary cars close to South Cliff.
Two young people in one of the vehicles died at the scene.
Police say the driver of the car ran off and the police helicopter was called in to help find him.
Floral tributes have been left at the scene.
A man is being questioned by police.
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 and quote Operation Harfield.
