Visitors to Alfriston Clergy House during the winter can learn about how Christmas was celebrated in the Middle Ages and Victorian era.

They will be able to discover what food was eaten, what games were played and what festive decor would have been put up around the house. The event runs from November 24-December 19, from Saturday to Wednesday, 11am-4pm.

Alfriston Clergy House will also join in the festive fun of the Alfriston Village Dickensian Evening on November 24 when shops open late and visitors can enjoy seasonal refreshments in the village High Street. The Clergy House will open for free from 4pm-8pm.
