Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and X-Factor’s Luke Friend will headline the brand new Airbourne stage for the town’s biggest ever beach party.
Jamie Laing will be joined by DJ Andy M for the Saturday evening headline slot at 6pm as they mix the decks to introduce some incredible new music.
Luke Friend, who releases his first single in August, will headline on Sunday night during the countdown to a spectacular Red Arrows themed fireworks display at 10pm.
With an entertainment line-up that mixes upcoming local musicians with TV talent show favourites, airshow visitors can expect more than just music, with street dance, magic, ventriloquists and the Heart Breakfast show team.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Leisure and Sports Services, Cllr Carolyn Heaps said, “We’re getting ready for Eastbourne’s biggest beach party ever. This is a great reason for visitors to stay a bit longer and avoid that rush hour traffic with some great music and talented local performers too.”
Joining the talent show line-up will be R&B/Hip Hop duo De’Vide, picked by Team Jessie J on The Voice during last year’s blind auditions, and Britain’s Got Talent boy band finalists The Mend.
Local singer/songwriter and rising star Harry Court will perform for the first time for the Airbourne crowds.
Just 15 years old, he gained national attention with the release of his first two singles earlier this year.
Young up and coming four-piece Indie rock band, The Piercings, from Hastings will also make their Airbourne debut and Open Mic UK winners Fran Classic will be bringing their mix of beatboxing, vocals and guitar.
Local bands Fo Sho’s, Hot Detroit and The Do They’s, as well as Eastbourne favourite Tom Fitzpatrick, also join the mix.
For great family entertainment, Steve Hewlett and Sam Jones, both from Britain’s Got Talent, will perform ventriloquist and magic acts during the day, and local street dance group Street Styles 4 All will be demonstrating their moves.
