An air ambulance was called to a man in a field in East Dean yesterday (Sunday).
According to Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, the helicopter was sent to an adult male suffering cardiac problems at Warren Hill at 10.07am.
Ambulances were called to reports a runner at an event had collapsed, said a spokesperson for SECAmb.
Two nurses were already on scene providing CPR and using a defibrillator on the patient.
The SECAmb spokesperson said, “We are very grateful for their help.”
Crews continued to treat the man and he was taken by air to a specialist coronary unit in Brighton hospital, said KSSAA.
