The Eastbourne Academy held its second Christmas Jumper Day on December 12, Joining thousands of people and schools around the country to support Save the Children, pupils and staff wore a festive jumper and donated £1.
This year the school raised £388, in excess of £150 more than last year’s efforts.
The money will help save children’s lives around the world, from Syria to Liberia, Brazil to Bangladesh.
PE teacher Karema Abdalla said, “I was so pleased with the uptake, staff and students really embraced the day. There were lots of fun and quirky jumpers that gave the Academy a real festive atmosphere.”
