A long campaign has finally paid off

It has been a long fight for the Sanders and Groves families, who have been fighting for the change in drug-driving law since the inception of the Lillian’s Law campaign in 2011.

In 2013, the family visited Parliament when Lillian’s Law was given royal assent after two years of campaigning.

The Sanders were there in Westminster to see the campaign come to fruition, and now finally the legislation will be enforced in police forces across the UK.

Stephen Lloyd MP said, “The success of their campaign to change the law – Lillian’s Law – was a tribute to people power and an amazing family who through tragedy have made a real difference that will benefit many other families.”
