Remembrance service in Eastbourne from yesteryear

Two photographs which originally appeared on the walls at the Royal Naval Old Comrades Club in Beach Road are featured in this week’s Looking Back to commemorate Remembrance Day today.

One of the pictures shows the Remembrance Service at the War Memorial in Cornfield Road from yesteryear.

The line up shows members from the RNOC with a large wreath.

The sign to the right of the photographs shows the sign outside Pearl Court, the flats on the corner of Cornfield Terrace and Devonshire Place.

The second photograph is of veterans living up for a procession in the grounds of what is believed to be the former Royal Artillery and Engineers Drill Hall in Latimer Road within the grounds of what was the Territorial Army Centre.

We would love to know more about these photos.
