First up is the trick or treat in Victoria Place, taking place from 0ctober 26-31 at the seafront end of Terminus Road.

Shop windows throughout the area will be decorated, and on Halloween itself (October 31), the staff will be dressed in their best costumes.

This event is open to children of all ages.

Everyone that completes the entry form – available from any of the participating businesses or electronically through the QR code – will win a prize.

Plus, all entrants throughout the week will be entered into a prize draw.

Organiser Vicky Kostiov said, “Businesses in the street have come together to support this event and we are all going to be dressing our windows to make Victoria Place the spookiest place in town!

“It’s completely free to enter, and everyone brave enough to take part will win a prize! Come and support our businesses and pick up a form from Beach Hut Gifts.”

Another event going ahead is the Little Chelsea Pumpkin Hunt.

Running from October 24-31, there are 10 painted pumpkins to find in shop windows throughout Grove Road, South Street and Calverly Walk.

Children have to find the pumpkins then write down the names of the shop windows they find them in on their entry form.

An entry form can be collected from any of the participating businesses or at the Tourist Information Centre.

Once children have found all the pumpkins, they should hand the form back to The Art House in Grove Road to receive a prize.

Organiser Lucy Hancock said, “This year has been difficult for everyone, but we are excited to be able to hold an outdoor, Covid-secure trail for families.

“Get dressed up and bring your children on a pumpkin hunt!”
