Looking back to Crawley Irish Festival in 2010

Crawley Irish Festival was the “biggest ever” as the festival celebrated its fifteenth successful year in 2010.

The family event covered everything from Gaelic football and hurling matches to live dance demonstrations from local schools such as the O’Brien School of Dancing and the Andromeda Edmonds School of Dancing.

Festival-goers also had a chance to hear some traditional Irish music. The Dome Stage showcased some of the biggest Irish acts from around Britain and Ireland including Borrowed Time, Martin Ruddy and Sean Cannon of Dubliners fame, who appeared with his son Robert Cannon. Meanwhile, the ‘Trad Stage’ featured some of the best traditional and folk acts from throughout the UK.
