Eastbourne’s first Bonfire procession on main seafront road takes off in 2011

Remember, remember the Fifth of November... Bonfire season in Sussex draws to a close and here’s a flashback to that time in Eastbourne in 2011.

Eastbourne Bonfire Society held its third torchlit procession, bonfire and fireworks display in the town that year, and this was the first time the procession was allowed on the main road from Fisherman’s Green to the Bathing Beach Fire Site.

This happened on October 8 2011 - and Herald photographer Terry Conolly was there to take these photographs.
