The dangerous shoreline between Beachy Head and Seaford Head has been a notorious graveyard for shipping for centuries.

The isolated coastline also attracted smugglers from all over the county.

Kevin’s illustrated talk will explore the true story Birling Gap’s maritime heritage.

Liz Pearson from Chalk Horse Music will be talking about the Sussex folklore that inspires their songs. She first became interested in local lore when making music about local stories and says Birling Gap is a magical place to share these, especially in the twilight.
