“Having joined East Sussex Ambulance Service at Brighton, he has spent most of his career in the Eastbourne area but came back to Brighton about six years ago to prepare for our new Make-Ready system.

“He is one of the kindest people you could wish to meet but has given so much more to the communities of Sussex.

“As well as being a skilled paramedic, he has given a great deal to the community with 28 years as a school governor in Eastbourne and also to the methodist church in the town.

“I wish Nick and long and very happy retirement. The whole community has benefited from his tireless work.”
