Police in Eastbourne town centre encouraging public to stay home

Eastbourne Police said on Twitter the prevention team is encouraging people to follow the government’s advice of staying at home in a bid to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

Officers are also enforcing a dispersal order after ‘pockets of disorder’ have been reported in the town.

Eastbourne Police said on Twitter, “Eastbourne prevention team are out across the town today, engaging, explaining and encouraging the public to #StayHome and follow the latest government advice.

“A dispersal order has also been authorised in the town centre, following pockets of disorder reported.”
