The routes have been divided up into segments for volunteers to take and the clean up operation is on Saturday April 24.

It is being supported by Plastic Free Eastbourne and litter pickers and bags will be provided.

The routes are from the seafront and out to Polegate as well as the Crumbles and Pevensey Bay.

A spokesperson for the organisers said, “We are going to clean up the entire network of cycle routes in Eastbourne.

“Eastbourne needs more bike lanes, but there are already some good routes that we can all use. Let’s spiff them up and get more people on their bikes.”
