The Haven Voluntary Aided Church Of England Methodist Primary School, in Atlantic Drive, Sovereign Harbour, said today (Friday, July 17) it has closed and that the safety of staff and pupils is ‘paramount’.

A school spokesperson said, “We were made aware that a parent of children at the school was experiencing covid-19 symptoms and, with the safety of our pupils and staff paramount, took the decision to close the school immediately.

“We have taken advice from Public Health England and a decision whether to open for the last few days of the term next week will be made this weekend.”
