Before plans are submitted on behalf of Eastbourne Borough Council, the general public is being asked to participate in a pre-planning consultation about housing plan.

If the scheme is approved, the site on the corner of Cavalry Crescent and North Avenue will see eight semi-detached houses knocked down and replaced with six houses and 14 flats.

Developers say the plans ‘seek to provide a mixed scheme for affordable rent’ with five three-bed houses, one four-bed house, five one-bed flats and nine two-bed flats.

Each house is set to have it’s own parking space and there will be 11 spaces provided for the flats too, according to the plans.

There will also be a garden for each house and a communal garden space for the flats.

The consultation gives residents the chance to comment on the design/layout/scale of the plans until March 24. The developers said, “Where possible, we will look to answer any comments as part of the planning application submission.”
