Emergency meeting in wake of Coronavirus in Eastbourne

A special ‘Cobra meeting’ will be held with business organisations, health and police officials, council leaders, hospitality bosses, school heads, churches and Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell with all parties dialling in for a virtual meeting.

A spokesperson for the group said, “We want to get together to create a Cobra style meeting to manage the impact of Covid-19 on our community and how we can limit the impact of the virus on our residents, the business community, the NHS, our schools, transport infrastructure and more that we have probably not thought of yet.

“This is a critical time for Eastbourne and so we should work together to limit the impact of the virus on our town.”
