Eastbourne Bowling Club opens after £50K refurbishment

Eastbourne Bowling Club has re-opened after a £50,000 plus refurbishment project. Last Saturday club president Doug Newman welcomed Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell and mayor Steve Wallis to the official opening of the newly refurbished bowling club’s clubhouse. Also present were representatives of the various club sponsors, the Sussex County Bowls Association, Eastbourne council, Saffrons Sports Club and Eastbourne Bowling Club members. The refurbishment was paid for through a £45,000 grant from Sport England, £5,000 from the Chalk Cliff Trust, £2,000 from Eastbourne council and donations from members.
