The council run department says that in light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation, all shows at Eastbourne theatres up to January 17 next year are now either cancelled or postponed.

A spokesperson said, “It is therefore also with great sadness that we confirm the postponement of this year’s Devonshire Park Theatre pantomime Sleeping Beauty until Christmas 2021.

“We look forward to welcoming our panto family back to the Devonshire Park Theatre next year for what will be our greatest pantomime celebration ever.”

The spokesperson said Eastbourne Theatres box office will be contacting ticket holders for this year’s 62 performance run of Sleeping Beauty over the coming weeks.

Customers who have either bought tickets, or made a reservation, will have their bookings transferred to the equivalent performance in 2021/2022. If this does not suit, customers can either move to an alternative performance, receive a credit note or full refund.

The spokesperson said, “We ask that customers do not contact the Box Office at this moment as we are working through all shows in the autumn season in date order. We will be able to issue some refunds without contacting you. Otherwise, we will contact customers either by email, letter or phone with details for each individual show.

“Bookings for future shows can be made online at www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk or by calling our Box office on 412000 or in person at the Visitors Centre located in the Welcome Building

“We are working extremely hard to ensure we are able to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. We look forward to welcoming you back to Eastbourne Theatres in the future and thank you for your continued patience at this time.”
