The singer, songwriter and actress was out with friends on a boat off the Eastbourne coast last week and when they returned to the Harbour, she agreed to send a get well message to the Eastbourne station’s lifeboat operations manager Carl Pocock, who has been unwell in recent weeks and is a big fan of the star.

Carl said it was a wonderful surprise which was organised by the lifeboat coxswain Mark Sawyer.
