Plans for glamping unit at Herstmonceux

The unit, to be used as a holiday let known as Ood House, is on land at the rear of Lime Cross Nursery on Windmill Hill Road.

An application for it to remain in place has been submitted to Wealden council’s planning department.

In a statement supporting the application, a spokesperson said, “The proposed glamping unit will create an energy efficient, high quality accommodation for visitors to appreciate and enjoy the natural environment. It’s also considered the glamping unit is well located in proximity to other local attractions. The location of the site therefore presents an opportunity to provide visitors with access to local attractions to support their social and cultural well-being.
