The event will take place in the new location of Hampden Park from August 11-14, and will showcase eight films on the big screen across four days, including Dirty Dancing, Moulin Rouge and a sing-a-long version of The Greatest Showman.

Eastbourne council’s lead member for tourism and enterprise Margaret Bannister said, “We are delighted to announce that our socially distanced Beach Life Drive-In Movie event will be returning for a sequel.

“Hearing the positive feedback we received from the previous event it’s clear that Eastbourne is a town of movie lovers. We’re happy to say that we’ve listened to this feedback and will be going bigger and better in August, showcasing eight films across four days.

“Public safety remains of the highest importance at this event and once again social distancing measures will be in place, including hand sanitising stations and a secure boundary to the event site, ensuring only attendees with pre-purchased tickets are able to enter.”

“Dinner at the event is sorted courtesy of local catering company The Bean Bike, which will once again be serving up their ever popular traditional wood fired pizzas. The on-site bar will be offering a variety of beers, wines, spirits and more for attendees to enjoy, with a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages available for designated drivers. All food and drink must be purchased using a contactless form of payment.”

Audience members will be asked to stay in their cars, unless purchasing food from the onsite catering or using the toilet facilities, where socially distanced queuing systems will be in place. Further social distancing guidance will be emailed to all attendees prior to the event.
