Burglars steal alcohol from Eastbourne supermarket

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said, “Around 00.15am on Monday (May 3), police received a report of a burglary at the Sainsbury’s store in Seaside, Eastbourne.

“A man and a woman were seen attempting to break-in to the shop before entry was eventually gained. A number of bottles of alcohol were taken from inside.

“Officers attended and carried out an extensive area search for the suspects, but with no trace.”

Anyone who saw what happened or who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around that time is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 14 of 03/05.
