Burglars steal alcohol from Eastbourne supermarket

Burglars broke into a Sainsbury’s store over the Bank Holiday and made off with bottles of alcohol.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said, “Around 00.15am on Monday (May 3), police received a report of a burglary at the Sainsbury’s store in Seaside, Eastbourne.

“A man and a woman were seen attempting to break-in to the shop before entry was eventually gained. A number of bottles of alcohol were taken from inside.

“Officers attended and carried out an extensive area search for the suspects, but with no trace.”
