It reads: “This is a time when the whole theatre industry must come together and support each other.

“Theatre as an industry relies on its audiences entirely to exist. At this time we rely on your support more now than ever.

“We are dedicated to offering the best possible service, even at this very uncertain time.

“Therefore, we are in the process of rescheduling our upcoming shows to later in the year, or 2021, which means you do not have to make a decision about this now. We would ask you to consider accepting transfer of your tickets to the new dates, or accepting a refund voucher at this point in time.

“Theatre fans and patrons are the lifeblood of our creative industry and we simply could not open our doors without your support.

“At The Hippodrome we have been very touched by the many messages of support we have received and we look forward to welcoming you back to the theatres when we re-open in the coming months. Take care and stay safe.”

The theatre is rescheduling its upcoming shows in chronological order and will contact all ticket holders by email, telephone or letter.

The theatre has asked that people keep checking their emails, including the junk folder, for information about alternative dates and refund options.
