Crawley Town midfielder Emmett O’Connor has joined Ryman League premier division club Lewes on loan.

He will be with the Rooks until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old Canadian has only made four League One appearances and seven in total since he was signed by John Gregory in the summer.

Head Coach Paul Groves said: “Emmett needs competitive football so this is a good opportunity for him and we wish him all the best for the loan period.”

O’Connor has not played since Reds 4-1 defeat by Leyton Orient on Boxing Day which was Gregory’s last game in charge before he went on sick leave.
