Bexhill set promotion target
The Pirates are currently second in Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two, but have played more matches than their pursuers in the race for a top three finish.
Munday said: “Twenty points is what we’re looking at, but we want to pick up those wins as soon as possible. We want to get the points on the board and leave it up to the other sides to try and catch us. Everyone’s going to have some tough games, and people are going to have good runs and bad runs.”

Hide AdOnly one game in the division beat the weather last weekend, with Bexhill’s scheduled trip to leaders Worthing United among those to succumb to a waterlogged pitch.
Bexhill remain three points better off than third-placed Wick & Barnham United and fourth-placed AFC Uckfield Town having played four more fixtures than the former and one more than the latter.
Seven of Bexhill’s remaining matches are away from home. They are due to visit sixth-placed Oakwood today (Saturday) before going to Wick next weekend.
“I rate Oakwood as a side,” Munday continued. “I always feel they’re one of the main contenders for that third spot along with us and they’re quite similar to us in terms of style.”

Hide AdBexhill are 12 points better off than Oakwood having played five more matches. The teams fought out a 1-1 draw in October’s reverse fixture. Although Munday starts a four-game ban, Bexhill otherwise expect to be around full strength.
Elsewhere in the same division today, Little Common will be hoping to play their first game of 2015 away to Midhurst & Easebourne and Westfield will be aiming for back-to-back wins as they travel to Rustington.
